About us – Pocket Ninja
The smallest ninja challenge in the world
Pocket Ninja is more than a game.
It is a challenge for focus, precision and control – with no screen at all.
Our story
It all began with Boulderball: a ball you climb around with your fingers, hold by hold – for finger strength, coordination and concentration. After the first wooden prototypes in 2012, it grew into an international success: multiple award winner and, today, more than 200,000 sold worldwide.
This success gave rise to the idea for Pocket Ninja.

The next step: Pocket Ninja
We wanted to develop an even smaller product – one that truly fits in your pocket.
The idea for it came from Joachim: Pocket Ninja. Together with designer Martin Oberhauser and graphic designer Judith Vasselai, he developed it to market maturity.

Joachim Ganthaler with Pocket Ninja
- less strength, more precision
- less repetition, more challenge
The result:
A ninja challenge in miniature – for your fingers
A game that challenges you, sharpens your focus and makes you better.
